Soon after, Arthur B. (Mickey) McBride Jr. began to purchase land here. Over the years, the McBride family has developed or sold several of its properties, including the land for the Riviera Country Club and many sites along Biltmore Way. Most recently, the third generation, led by Brian McBride, has decided to develop their remaining lots. Harold D. (Hal) White, a native of Coral Gables, has been a prominent real estate executive for over 40 years. He has a family history in the business that goes back more than 70 years. In fact, his father Armer White worked with Mickey McBride way back in the early days of Coral Gables. And now, Brian and Hal have teamed up to create Riviera Development. Their vision is to "create the absolute highest design, quality and fitness for each particular site". Current projects include new elegant Mediterranean style homes in Coral Gables, Florida and new "ocean view" Maine vacation homes overlooking Penobscot Bay near Camden and Rockport.
	E X E C U T I V E   V I C E   P R E S I D E N T Truman grew up in Florida, where he attended Miami Jackson High School and the University of Florida. In 1958, he received a B.S. and in 1964, he received an LLB (later replaced by Juris Doctor). Truman was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1958-1975, and served in San Juan, Puerto Rico as a Lt. Commander. Truman has represented a wide variety of clients including banks, insurance companies, and land developers. One of his previous projects included the assemblage of Disney World Properties. In his two decades of design work, he has consistently exhibited the unyielding standards that Riviera demands. She obtained her real estate license in 2005 and worked in sales for Menendez Park and Bermuda Village. She was recently appointed Sales Director for Casas Sevillanas and Casas Andaluzas. Samantha has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Florida International University. She previously worked eight years with an international interior design firm.
